This doll was painted and sanded to achieve the prim look.

 

She is wearing a tea stained pink check dress, with rusty bells secured in place around the neckline. Also rusty keys at the waist line secured by a safety pin complete the prim dress. Her face was simply stitched and wavy/frayed wool completes the doll.

She is wearing a simple mauve/wine dress and her hem is raised on one side and secured with a button. She also wears a rusty bell necklace and safety pin. Her face was simply stitched, and black wool hair completes the doll.

The prim stocking is heavily tea dyed and made from quilted calico features a red Christmas print with wooden snowflake embellishments, a twine star and rusty bells.

In the stocking are hand made ornaments; including a primitive star covered in mica flakes, a gingerbread man carrying a rusty bell, a varnished candy cane and pip berry stems.
